Epic Surfing by “the Slater”

Posted by admin on Apr 13, 2012 in Surfing

Scope this footage of this final. Slater was on fire, but came up short? I think Mick had the home court advantage in this contest.

His creativity on waves never ceases to amaze me. Also his wave knowledge is awe-inspiring. This video section was in 2010

A few Panoramics of epic hikes and surfing with Cuban and Chase

Posted by admin on Apr 13, 2012 in Daily Blog

Chelsea met these guys at her work and told me we should go hiking with them. I was a little hesitant at first, but I trusted her judge of character. After our first hike together we were all hanging out like long time friends. It was such a cool experience to hang with different people and have such a good time, hiking, surfing and eating together. These are a few of the photos from our adventures, thanks to the Cuban for getting back to us with them.

I Called It…

Posted by admin on Apr 12, 2012 in Daily Blog

Not to say I told you so, but I told you so! I saw his first edit and voted for it. I thought the first edit was darker and more hardcore. The second (although most of the same surfing) was a little more carnival like. All in all the edit was superb and the surfing, bar-none (is that even a word?) well it works here! Stoked on the back to back Maui wins (Albee Layer and Matt Meola) for the innersection vids. Seeing good surfing and editing gives me something to aspire to with my personal video.

Jamie Obrien came runner up, his section was outstanding. The Lance’s Right section and the Nias section are so friggin gnarly. I think if he would’ve picked any other song, it would’ve made first. But I think it expressed who Jamie is…Heavy! Awesome editing, superb footage and (most of all) completely mental surfing as always! Jamie’s the man!

Eligh – been listening to his Raps a while…

Posted by admin on Apr 8, 2012 in Daily Blog

Only recently have I really enjoyed his messages. Him and his boy Grouch have been putting out to world extremely positive messages and I’ve been stoked off it! It’s rare you see some wise dudes, grabbing the mic after years of struggle and promoting optimistic, well thought out messages. Yeah guys, this the real stuff, keep it coming! I love this song and have been editing some good stuff to it.

This song straight spoke to me when I first heard it. It holds a lot of the truths that I’ve found in life.

This is what I want my editing to look like…

Dane Reynolds is the man, absolutely killing it, yet he’s still able to practice humility.

No matter how down and out you might feel…

There’s always a way out if you have the will to fight. With the end in mind being WIN, there’s nothing stopping you but obstacles in your path. For Frankie there was just a fighter in front of him. For the average person, the obstacles aren’t fighters, but take many different forms. Keep fighting everyone, because everyone has their own struggles.

These Artists Inspire me…

Posted by admin on Apr 21, 2011 in Daily Blog

Eminem – Is an amazing artist and really put his career and reputation for that matter on the line with his last album “Recovery.” But this video is when the seed of recovery was planted in Eminem. It’s done so well, I think I may have watched it ten times!

I’m stoked Atmosphere came out with a new album this April 12th, 2011. This video I thought was cool cuz it shows slug taking rap into a completely different direction.

Saw God Today

Posted by admin on Apr 15, 2011 in Daily Blog

Surfed the evening hour before sunset at Diamondhead tonight after really contemplating my actions the last few years. As I paddled out it was as if the sun had already set because it was so dark already. But the waves were really good and ramping, so I was having a great time. The water was so warm, the people, well it was as if they didn’t even exist. Then as I was paddling out the sun finally dipped below the clouds and illuminated the whole right side of my view. I thought that’s what God must look like. You can’t stop these thoughts, sometimes they just come up?!

20 Hour day

Posted by admin on Apr 13, 2011 in Daily Blog

Woke up at 6 am, went to sleep finally at 2 am.

Surfed Bowls at the crack of Dawn. Not that good, Eggs and english muffins for breaky. Little facebook chat with some cool girls, then off to errand world. Ran a flurry of errands and then surfed offshore, sunny, uncrowded Kewalas. Off to school to sit through a boring presentation on the mobile phone industry, how do you make that presentation boring? Fuck?! Then met up with a potential business entrepreneur in the recycling market! Awesome ideas and with a little start up capital and time it could be a nice business. We’ll soon see. It works well my four prong, businesses model I’m creating for myself once I graduate. Real Estate, Tech, Green Business and another small business venture. That has proven to be the most inspiring thing after i graduate college to run my own business. Worked all night after my meeeting, with no break, no mistakes and yet I still felt unfulfilled?! What’s up with that?! Now it’s HW time, but there’s so much of it: Projects, Blogs, Quizzes, Exams, Readings, Deadlines, Dreams, Goals, Books, Notecards. They all know there place, I just gotta find mine, and it’s where my feet are :)

This pretty much sums up my college experience. Except both those guys are me, kind of like both sides of the brain.

Gonna Try Something a Little Different

Posted by admin on Apr 12, 2011 in Daily Blog

I love reading good surf blogs and I want to create an electronic scrapbook of my summer and last semester of college. So here it is! Loeswick.com blog…A good way to stay motivated, see what Hawaii has to offer, and share with friends. Facebook is good and all, but I know one day it’s going to fade into oblivion. I figured a blog would just be a little more professional, than just logging into the social network!

Lately just been surfing with my buddy Cam everyday. Surfing different spots on the Southshore, like Kewalas, Bowls and Suicides. @ Kewalas there’s a pretty epic group of young kids coming up in those ranks. I gotta start taking more pictures…
